Orca Cresting a Wave T-Shirt Design was pitched to Hobie, Black Bart's, Crazy Shirts and a ton of other venues around Dana Point, Laguna Beach, and Newport Beach, California; Honolulu, Hawaii and around the Pacific Rim. From 1978 through 1984, a number of venues were scared of crossing swords with SeaWorld San Diego, SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment--a subsidiary of SeaWorld Entertainment Inc.--formerly known as the Busch Entertainment Corporation and the Anheuser-Busch Corporation itself over anything "Orca" due to their trademarked and copyrighted jumping "Shamu" logo.
After I settled (As in prevailed) the lawsuit where I won my legal argument that "Shamu" was a girl and male orcas are in the Public Domain and they lost, I went on to include this sketch as the source for the silkscreen image for part of my Argonaut's Pacific Rim clothing line.
