Sleeping Mermaid

PROJECT STORY: This was a mini-poster distributed for office workers in major cities around Japan in 1995. The render was completed in 1993. The model was my then-girlfriend Naomi. I found a small group of business executives who didn't suffer from Gaijing-itis and while the printing and production work was actually done in Bangkok as arranged by Konazawa of Toshiba, the posters were distributed by a company in Kobe to be sold throughout Japan and Asia.

MEDIA: Quill-point Dr. Martin colored inks, F&W Colored inks, Pentel color felt-tip pens, Koor-I-Noor India inks, Prisma pencils, and Bic ballpoint pens.

INVESTOR: Konazawa-san of Toshiba with his partner Kura-san, the "Bear."

AGENT: Kenneth ("Kenji-san") Wehage of Tokyo and Riverside, California; originally hailing from Boston, Massachusetts.
