CASUALWEAR, SPORTSWEAR, & ATHLETIC WEAR: This design made it out around the Pacific Rim in 1993. Atlantic species made it into one of my Argonaut's Pacific Rim Line "T"-shirt designs that were eight-color scanned and silkscreened in Bangkok, Thailand. The seahorses were obvious, but I had the common yellow snapper, some pilotfish damsels and an Atlantic spotted dolphin. No background colors were needed as the garment dyes would be the backgrounds.
The hooded "Hoodie" sweatshirts (We didn't call them that in those days) and the Tee's and even the clingy cotton skirts supplied the seawater backgrounds as their factory-dyed colors ranged from mid-to pale darkish aqua-forest green fading into an even darker eerie blue-violet. Lighter shades of solids at the shoulders and chest blended into the darker shades at the half way midpoint of each garment's length.
The lead mermaid was Jenny Garth from "90210." The green mermaid was Larry Lemming's secretary from Gore Graphics who was primping around her work desk. The fishtails are organic and are living body-stockings made (Genetically designed and grown from) exotic species of algae to provide more thrust per kick in open water.
This line started because I wanted my revenge on "Crazy Shirts" for declining any of my design submissions.
