"Aries and Maya"

The Client is me, I rendered this illustration at our condominium in 1997 in Monarch Beach, California to be either an interior illustration plate or a rear book cover art rendering for my short novel "Aries & Maya" which I wrote, edited and completed in the Spring and summer of 1997, just after my first son with Lori was born.

A mated pair of orcas, Aries & Maya, hunt the kelp forest off the coast of Dana Point, California in 1997. During a winter storm squall, they inadvertently created a sort of oceanic "X-File" mystery for the Orange County Sheriff's Harbor Patrol deputies and the state Lifeguards when they assisted in a double Sea-Doo Personal Water Craft riders rescue in heavy and stormy seas. All first responders definitively heard the two Orcinus orca killer whales, a big bull with a normal black and white pattern and a pure albino female, attempt human speech as phrases and phonemes in English, through their blow holes.
