The Flying Sub under attack from the "Luska"

In this Prisma pencil, F/W quill point inks and Dr. Martin inks, Admiral Harriman Nelson's Flying Sub 01 encounters the legendary Bahamian "Lusca" giant octopus evil spirit kraken from the Tongue of the Ocean sea trench and the waters surrounding Andros Island in the Bahamas.

The flying submarine from Irwin Allen's 1964 through 1968 series "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" was suggested and eventually designed by William Creber who would go on to design the mini aerowing waverider space shuttle "Farscape One" from the TV series "Farscape.

What always fascinated me was that careful analysis of the reconstructed General Composite of the Roswell aerosurf/aerospace Command Module Shuttle suggested that the vehicle could fly underwater as easily as in the atmosphere or out in space.
