ORIGINAL NETWORK DISTRIBUTORS: SHOWTIME / Viacom.

PROJECT: "Roswell (also known as Roswell: The U.F.O. Cover-Up)"

VFX ANIMATION: Anderson Video, Studio City, California.

THIS ASSIGNMENT'S DETAILS: This illustration was commissioned by Executive Producer and Film Director Jeremy Kagan, Executive Producer and Writer Paul Jeffrey Davids and Executive Producer Ilene Kahn Power. It was rendered for the 1994 SHOWTIME/Viacom telefilm "Roswell," starring Kyle MacLauclan, Kim Griest, Xander Berkeley, Peter McNichol and Martin Sheen.

As edited by David Holden and Bill Yahraus with Director Jeremy Kagan, this acorn-like pod (That was the second recollection in the scene with 509th reunion goers at the swimming pool) was mentioned to me by Jeremy because of his familiarity with another UFO crash retrieval case located near Kecksburg, Pennsylvania in 1965.

Jeremy selected this sketch as his concept for the second version of the crashed spaceship that a bunch of the old 509th Atom Bomb Wing veterans were discussing around a hotel swimming pool in the movie. "Click click click click, click" was the sound effect as the dialog went along.

Jeremy Kagan specifically wanted a fattish acorn-style UFO pod for the second version of the downed craft.
This drawing was a "Make or Break" moment in my career. My credit depended on this drawing being accepted.
