This illustration was rendered for and published in Steve Alten's book "Goliath" and brought to life Steve's vision of a military underwater spy and reconnaissance vehicle manned or unmanned. She served her mission of support and reconnaissance as a minisub launched from the far larger Goliath "Boomer's" interior garage hangers, all of which were reconstructed by me and hand rendered from Steve's publisher's galley and enhanced from witness testimonies which eventually were engineered by me based upon additional rumored characteristics and design elements I had acquired regarding US Navy R&D for the SEAL teams in the Puget Sound areas north of Seattle.
Conceptual Design elements were inspired by the Sphyrna mokarran great hammerhead shark, the Advanced SEAL Delivery System (ASDS) midget submarine, the SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV) manned submersible, and the SeaBreacher Z family of high-performance sport minisubs.
Associates of Steve Alten subsequently completed test renders of the design in a digital 2D motif.
The Goliath herself was a gigantic 600 foot "Boomer" missile submarine resembling a cross between an underwater monstrous winged stealth bomber and a stingray sporting five nuclear hydro-jet engines whose designs were stolen by a mad scientist psychopath and built for him by the Communist Chinese to use for their purposes. The submarine sported an operational quasi Artificial Intelligence system which functioned as a combination of silicon and carbon-based memory components utilizing molecular memory maintained as Deoxyribonuclaic (DNA) strands in specific matrices and combinations. Her AI answered to the name "Sorceress."
