Human DNA from this Earth is their point of origin but they may have colonies in over a dozen locations in the sphere of known space which surrounds us on Earth outward to about forty light years in any direction. Known Space is probably a sphere that is eighty light years wide from our Sol System as it's center point.

I suspect that some antediluvian civilizations learned to sail ALL of the Earth's oceans, fly dirigibles similar to far future blimps of all sizes up to and including those matching far future German Zeppelins, fly fixed wing aircraft, fly supersonic jet-style aircraft, build and launch missiles and participate in one or more pan-global trans-world cultures which also led them into space. Eventually they developed, engineered, built and navigated starships.
