THE PROJECT'S BACKSTORY: In his cover a United States Army Air Corps Colonel, United States Army Counter-Intelligence Corps Team Leader Frank Kaufmann, a man whose team of agents had provided special security surrounding all aspects of the development and production of America's atomic bombs and who had access to all aspects of the "Manhattan Project" going back to 1943, was ordered by two generals in Washington D.C. to ride a radar set with other members of his team for the three days preceding what would soon be the crash of one of the flotilla of bogies buzzing New Mexico's atomic bomb facilities throughout the state.
