This illustration was commissioned by Steve Alten as a concept render for the gigantic thick-bodied Anguilliforme eels he envisioned for his book, "The Loch," first published in 2005. This image shows the largest of Steve's Loch Ness Monster eels attacking a diver in a JIM diving suit at depth.
